The Appointment Has Been Cancelled!
The NY Times had an interesting piece the other day on the joy of a cancelled appointment, linked here. This article is particularly relevant for us DC dwellers. We lead amazingly busy lives and cannot seem to get away from work thanks to advances in Web mails, Blackberries and other such garbage.
So, when an appointment is cancelled, as it sometimes is, and there isn’t any other to take its place, the joy knows no bounds. I went through this joy recently, yesterday in fact. My class was cancelled and I found out about it when I got to the room. Reading the sign, Class Cancelled, brought tears to my eyes. Oh, the joy.
I am sure that we have all gone through similar feelings. What are yours?
